The winners of this year’s Welsh Half Marathon Championships will be rewarded with a training camp in Boulder, Colorado under the guidance of legendary distance runner Steve Jones.
The first male and female Welsh athletes home in this Sunday’s Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon will take the title of Welsh Half Marathon Champion and will also be sent across the Atlantic to train ahead of next season courtesy of race organisers Run 4 Wales.
The athletes will receive flights to Denver and stay with Jones in the world-famous resort of Boulder. They will link up with the Boulder Harriers training group and learn from Jones, who is still the British record holder for the Marathon.
The 2012 Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon takes place in the capital this Sunday, October 14th.
