Caryl Jones (Swansea Harriers) finished an impressive tenth at the World Half Marathon Championships on Saturday morning.
Caryl made her Great Britain Team debut at the biennial event, held in Kavarna, Bulgaria on this occasion. Caryl's clocking of 71:52 saw her as second British finisher behind Gemma Steel (Charnwood). Susan Partridge (Leeds City) completed the team scoring for Great Britain who finished fourth overall.
The women's race was won by Meseret Hailu (Ethiopia) who led her team to a surprise victory over Kenya. The men's race was won for a record fifth time by Zersenay Tadesse (Eritrea) who led his team to silver behind Kenya.
