Cardiff AAC's Bethan Davies (Andi Drake and Martin Bell) moved up to 6th on the British all-time list for the 1 mile race walk with a 7:25.7 clocking.

Bethan set the time when winning her race in the annual Leeds Uni v Leeds Metropolitan Uni Varsity match on Wednesday, 3 October. This ends a remarkable year for the Leeds Uni student, who only started race walk training after competing in the Varsity match last year, clocking over 9 minutes on that occasion.
