Dewi Griffiths and Caryl Jones will feature in the 2012 Great North Run on Sunday. The in-form duo from Swansea Harriers will race in competitive elite fields which include some of the worlds top distance runners.
The Men's field is headed by London Marathon Champion, Wilson Kipsang and the current World Cross Country Champion Imane Merga. The ladies field will see both the Olympic 10,000m and Marathon Champions from 2012 competing in the guise of Tirunesh Dibaba and Tiki Gelana respectively.

Dewi has a half marathon best of 65.40 set at the Birmingham Half Marathon in 2011 but will be looking to better it in Newcastle on the prestigious Great North Run course which is known for fast times.
Caryl impressed the crowds last weekend at the Cardiff 10k with a 32.31 clocking and will look to replicate that form over the half marathon distance this weekend. Caryl's current best for the distance is set at an impressive 74.04 which she posted at Marrakech Half Marathon in February.
The Great North Run is televised live on the BBC this Sunday with the ladies race starting at 10.15am and the elite men setting off at 10.40am.
