The Brecon 10 Mile Road Race took place on Sunday 5th of August in good conditions. The event which starts and finishes at the Penlan Athletics Arena, was this year included in the Run Wales Series.

The Swansea Harriers trio of Dewi Griffiths, Simon Jones and Martin Rees were always likely to feature prominently and went on to finish in that order. Dewi in turn took maximum Run Wales points to upgrade his overall position from ninth to fourth.

Clare Philips (Port Talbot Harriers) was the first lady to finish in 63:54 with Ellie Davies (Brecon Tri) and Clare Bunce (Redrose RR) second and third respectively.
