The UK Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships took place at a new venue in Loughborough on Saturday.
The event effectively closes the domestic Cross Country season in the UK each year and as always, saw many of the top Welsh runners in action.

Athletes compete for their counties in the event which also acts as a selection race for the British team to compete at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
The races also work as selection races for home nations teams to compete at the Home Countries International in two weeks time.
Team selection uses the U20 and Senior races with the most at stake in these categories.
Clara Evans (South Wales, Pontypridd Roadents) continued her improvement in the senior women's category, running with the leaders until the half way stages and eventually finishing 15th in a field which included the 2014 European Cross Country Champion, Gemma Steel (Charnwood AC).
Cari Hughes (North Wales, Menai Track & Field) began the race as the current U17 champion and amongst the favourites in her U20 women's age group.
Hughes was in seventh place with half a lap to run but as always showed great strength and determination by coming through the field to finish fourth.
This will now give her every chance of a place in the Great Britain & Northern Ireland Team to compete at the championships in the Ugandan capital on Sunday 26th March.
Heidi Davies (East Wales, Brecon AC) was the next Welsh athlete home in 14th place.
The U17 race saw a battle of Welsh athletes hoping to take the British Athletics Cross Challenge Series title. Matt Willis (North Wales, Wrexham AAC) started as joint series leader along with Dominic Smith (West Wales, Swansea Harriers).
Willis showed his calibre by coming agonising close to winning the race, finishing second. Oliver Barbaresi (North Wales, Menai Track & Field) was fifth with Smith finishing 12th.
Mia Roberts (North Wales, Deeside AAC) finished third in the U15 Girls race.
More will follow when final series results are available.
