Welsh Athletics League reaches its conclusion in Swansea

The 2017 Welsh Athletics League will conclude tomorrow in Swansea, and with one match to go in the 4 match series it is the host club of this final fixture who are leading the way in the league table.

Taking a slightly different format to previous years, the final fixture of the Welsh Athletics League will welcome athletes from all affiliated clubs, along with athletes from non-affiliated clubs taking part in the ‘open’ competition.

Having finished in the top two places at every match so far, Swansea Harriers look like the team to beat, particularly with the home advantage for the final match, but hot on their heels will be Brecon Athletics Club, currently occupying second spot just four points behind the leaders.  Third placed club Cardiff will also be hoping for a strong show of athletes to launch themselves into contention for the title.

It is set to be a great day of competitive athletics, and we wait with baited breath to see who will be crowned the Welsh Athletics League Champions for 2017.
