The Welsh medal in England

Wales brought home a total of 11 medals and crowned two Champions across the three age groups over the weekend at England Athletics Indoor Championships. Hannah Brier (Steve Fudge) won the Under 20 60m title in a time of 7.36 to add to the British University title she won the week before in a new Welsh Under 20 record of 7.31, and Kiara Frizelle (Phil Banning) took the Under 17 1500m title in a new personal best of 4.35.00. 

Under 20 medallists from the weekend included; William Edwards (Stephen Bailey) who took bronze in the high jump (1.99m), Osaze Aghedo (Steve Ingram) claiming bronze in the triple jump (14.96m), Amelia Reynolds (Dave Norton) stealing silver in the 200m with a pb of 24.04 and Welsh U20 National Indoor Record and Izzy Parry-Jones (Darrell Maynard) who took bronze in the 1500m with a PB of 4.33.08. 

Under 17 medallists included; Moli Jones (Phil Jones) who took bronze over the 60m with a PB of 7.62 and Megan Hodgson (Gareth Lease) who also won bronze with a personal best of 3.50m in the pole vault. 

Wales won three further medals in the under 15 age category; silver for Ben Hillman in the 300m with a personal best of 37.83s (he also placed 5th and 6th in the Long Jump and 60m hurdles respectively), bronze for Iwan Rees in the high jump with a big personal best of 1.75m and silver for Macey Morris over the 200m with a cracking personal best of 25.56s.
