The Annual Youth Development League Final is due to be held in Birmingham this weekend with the lower age groups competing on Saturday and the upper age groups competing on Sunday. The final is made up of the top 2 teams from each regions Premier Division which means 3 Welsh clubs will be in action at the Alexander Stadium.
Cardiff Archers and Swansea Harriers will be competing in the lower age groups final, this is the under 13 and under 15 age categories. Swansea Harriers were impressive throughout the summer and were the overall winners of the Midland Premier South West League title with 1658.5 match points. Cardiff Archers finished in second place after winning the final fixture on the 18th of June, they finished the season with 1548 match points.
Cardiff AAC will be competing in the upper age group final on Sunday, this is the under 17 and under 20 age categories. Cardiff AAC’s team looked strong throughout the season and after dominating the final league fixture on the 25th of June, they took the Midland Premier League South West League Title with 2078.5 match points.
