The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games make this a special year for athletics in Great Britain. To mark this historic event, the Welsh Athletics Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner will have an Olympic theme.
We are immensely proud of the success of our Olympians in the past and we will honour their achievements in a special evening that will take place at the Angel Hotel, Cardiff on Saturday 13th October 2012. We hope that as many of our former and current Olympians and former Hall of Fame inductees as possible will join us for this celebratory event.
We are delighted to invite all our Welsh Athletics friends to enjoy the evening with this prestigious company of elite athletes and to celebrate the achievements of our Annual Awards winners. The dress code for the evening will be Black Tie and details of the evening schedule will be forwarded on confirmation of attendance.
The weekend’s celebratory spirit will continue on the Sunday, when Welsh Athletics will be staging the Cardiff Half Marathon, with an anticipated 15,000 runners taking part. We would be delighted if you could also attend this event which will start directly in front of Cardiff Castle and opposite the Angel Hotel. Let us make this a weekend to remember!
