Welsh Athletics is pleased to announce the Welsh Athletics Club Awards Programme for 2012. The programme sees volunteers from across the country rewarded for their contributions in supporting the development of the sport - recognising the important role volunteer’s play in providing success for athletics in Wales. The annual awards see winners chosen in 5 categories; Club, Volunteer, Official, Coach and Partnership.
Celebrating success - behind any successful performance are numerous people who have given their time and effort to help the sport. Volunteers are essential across all areas of the sport from team managers to administrators, coaches to event officials. These people often remain in the background, however the Welsh Athletics Club Awards programme provides a unique opportunity to recognise the outstanding contributions made to our sport by these people who give their time, energy and expertise on a voluntary basis.
The awards will be presented at the Welsh Athletics Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner taking place on Saturday 13th October at the Angel Hotel, Cardiff, with category winners being considered for UK wide recognition at the UKA Annual Awards celebration.
