British Athletics Mountain Running Championships

British Athletics Mountain Running Championships inc. Home Countries International

Sedbergh, Cumbria - Saturday 2nd June 2018

Welsh Athletics will be sending Senior Men's and Women's teams to compete at the Home Countries Mountain Running Championships which are being incorporated into the British Mountain Running Championships at Sedbergh, Cumbria on Saturday afternoon. The Welsh teams, comprised of six athletes (up to four seniors, and two u23 athletes) will compete against England, Scotland and Northern Ireland in the battle to be crowned Home Countries International Champions. 

The race itself, which is also the British Mountain Running Championships will be used as the European Mountain Running Championship Trial Race. The event takes place on the scenic and challenging Southern Hogwill Fells above Sedbergh, and will see the Junior Men's and Women's races take place at 12p.m before the Senior Men's and Women's races (including the Home Countries International) will kick off at 1p.m.
