Brilliant bronze for Breen on Day 5

Women's T38 100m 

Olivia Breen picked up her second medal of the Games as she stormed to a thrid placed finish in the Women's T38 100m Final, earning a bronze medal to go alongside the gold she picked up in Sunday's T38 Long Jump Final. Breen ran 13.35 to finish behind England's Sophie Hahn and Australia's Rhainnon Clarke and become Wales' first athlete at the Games to pick up two medals. 

Women’s 100m Hurdles Heat 1

Caryl Granville returned to the track on Thursday morning for heat 1 of the Women’s 100m Hurdles. The Swansea Harrier finished in 6th position with a time of 13.98, this sadly meant no qualification to the final but it was another commendable ffeort after a tough 400m Hurdles race just 48 hours ago.

Men’s T12 100m Heat 1

James Ledger made his Commonwealth Games debut on Thursday morning when the Swansea Harrier finished in 3rd place in the first heat of the Men’s T12 100m. James’s time of 11.77 was a season's best but sadly not enough to progress him to the final.
