Cardiff AAC Are hosting the first fixture in the 2013 Welsh Senior League at Cardiff International Sports Stadium.
Timetables for each event can be downloaded below
The format for 2013 will be four Welsh Athletics supported open track and field meetings, which will incorporate the Welsh Senior League, with electronic timing (Photofinish) and EDM for field events.
Entries are open to all athletes from Wales, the UK and internationally, in U17, U20 and senior age groups.
Following the same principle as the indoor Grand Prix Series, all track events will be seeded.
Field events will see the U17s compete with their own age group, while the U20 and senior age groups will become a combined single-age group.
The U20 athletes in the throwing events will throw senior weights but if there are a limited number of seniors in a mixed event, the discretion of the field referee and meeting manager may allow U20s to throw their own weight.
For track events athletes must give a valid and up-to-date PB to help with the seeding at each event.
All entries will be on the day, 90 minutes prior to the start of the event and every meeting will conclude with relays.
Within the open meetings points will be awarded to athletes affiliated to the Welsh Senior League clubs, where the best two performances will score in all events and then a league structure or table will come into being.
All athletes must wear their first claim Welsh affiliated club vest.
As 2013 is a pilot season Welsh clubs will have free league affiliation. This is a great performance opportunity, as well as supporting your club.
League teams need to be declared and are free, composite open teams will need to declare and pay £5.00 per team, of which you will need to enter 30 minutes prior to the first relay race.
There will be a ranking system for all athletes in all events across the four meetings; Welsh Athletics are looking to reward athletes at the end of the season if funds become available, athletes must take part in a minimum of three meetings to put themselves forward.
Individual entry fees are £5.00 for the first event and £3.00 for subsequent events, U17 under UKA rules are only eligible to enter three events plus a relay, and are not permitted to take part in a 5,000m.
