Nick Beer 10km Road Race - Llandudno

Clara Evans (Pontypridd Roadents) retained her 2016 Welsh 10km title in North Wales on Sunday. Rob Samuel (Eryri Harriers) secured the men's title at the event which was held within the Nick Beer 10km Road Race in Llandudno.

Etremely windy conditions were not enough to slow times considerably, with Matt Clowes Cardiff AAC winning the race outright in 30:57. Samuel was next home, securing the Welsh title in 31.29. Ricky Challinor (Liverpool Harriers) and Russell Bentley (Eryri Harriers) claimed the silver and bronze medals in 32.33 and 33.04.

The women's race was won by Georgina Outten (Liverpool Harriers) in 35.46 ahead of Welsh Championship gold medalist Evans in 36.20. Bronwen Jenkinson (Eryri Harriers) was next home in the Championship race ahead of fellow Eryri Harrier, Andrea Rowlands

Eryri Harriers took both club team titles in the senior races. Gog Triathlon took the master men's crown and Buckley RC secured the ladies equivalent.

The Championships again hosted the Welsh Inter-Regional 10km Road Race Championships. Men's and women's senior and masters titles went were won by the Host team, North Wales.
