The first Swansea Half Marathon took place in great conditions on Sunday morning.
The bright and exciting new event has been made a reality by race organisers David Jewel and Nick Francis.
The event started at 8:30am prompt on Oystermouth Road and took over 1600 runners on a flat and picturesque route along Swansea seafront and marina area before finishing alongside the start on Burrows Place.

Matthew Wells (Bridgend AC) was the first man across the line in 74:38 over a minute ahead of the first veteran, Mark Roberts (Swansea Harriers) who took second place overall.
Clara Evans (Pontypridd Roadents) ran bravely off the front of the women's field but was eventyually caught by race winner Hannah Oldroyd (UK Netrunner) who won in 83:20. Clara improved her lifetime best to 88:21.
