Welsh teams competed at the Armagh International Road Races on Thursday.
Wales sent a senior men's, senior womens and U23 men's team to the prestigous Northern Ireland based event. The men's race took place over 5km with the women racing 3km.
Ieuan Thomas (80) and Dewi Griffiths (79) lead the Armagh 5km
Dewi Griffiths (Swansea Harriers) led an early group around the multi-lap course of the Mall in the centre of the town. Ieuan Thomas (Cardiff AAC) made sure he was well placed to make his move in the later stages.
With one lap to go, Dewi still led but when Ieuan did make his move he was able to race to a fine third behind race winner Nick McCormick (Morpeth Harriers) running for England.
Dewi finished a credible seventh in a field which included an England team, A Poland team, Athletes from the USA and Ireland and several club and corporate teams from across Ireland and England.
In the women's race, Kate Roberts (Bridgend AC) returned to Armagh to improve her previous best to 9:51. Carol Glover (Swansea Harriers) and Charlotte Gaughan (Cardiff AAC) both debuted for the Welsh Road Running Team.
