The Welsh Cross Country Relays will return in 2015. The event will take place at Newbridge Fields in Bridgend and will offer Inter-Club Competition for all age-groups.

Newbridge Fields, Bridgend is situated on the banks of the River Ogmore on the outskirts of Bridgend Town Centre.
Ample car parking is available in the Town with a train station a short walk away.
The Race HQ is based at the Bridgend AC Clubhouse where there is toilet and changing facilities and ample space on the inside of the athletics arena for the start/finish/changeover area, and for club tents. Refreshments will be available in the clubhouse throughout the day.
First Aid for the day will be based from this position, and deployed if required on the course.
Course The relay route is a 1500m/2000m twisting course with small gradients, on the area north of the river. There are a few tarmac path crossings of a few metres. IT IS THE ATHLETES RESPONSIBILITY TO FAMILIARISE THEMSELVES WITH THE COURSE PRIOR TO RUNNING.Marshalls will be positioned around the course, and on path crossings and will make every effort to inform pedestrians of the event, however please be alert to the public who equally have a right to use the roads/pathways.
The basic loop is 1500 metres approximately, with the extra loop increasing the distance to 2000 metres, with 2 laps for older age groups.
In multi loop legs it is the runners that should be aware of changing over, where there is excellent visibility for approaching runners. Listen to announcements for information throughout the day. Athletes are requested NOT to warm up on the race route. There are ample alternative areas in the park and grass surfaces. Thank you.
Age Groups – Age groups will follow UK athletics rules, and club vests MUST be worn in championship races
Presentations – will be made near the HQ/changeover area as soon as possible following each event.
Incorporating Open Races – Composite teams may compete but cannot use any first-claim member of another competing team.
Entry – Entries should be received no later that Tuesday 17th November 2015
Under 11/Primary School entry is available as a team/school or as an individual with entry also available on the day.
