Scores of Welsh athletes competed at the British University Cross Country Championships at Boddinton Hall in Leeds on Saturday.
Dewi Griffiths (Swansea University) began the Men's race as the current Welsh Cross Country Champion. Dewi finished sixth last year just one place behind Olympic Bronze medalist triathlete, Jonathan Brownlee (Leeds University).

Rowan Axe (St Mary's) finished third in the men's B Race last year but this time started the A Race knowing he was in better shape. Rowan's fine fourth place this time around ensured he finished as the leading Welsh man some way ahead of Dewi who struggled to twenty sixth this time.
Rowan helped his team to overall victory, retaining their title from last year and winning by an even greater margin in 2013.
Several seconds behind Dewi, Joshua Griffiths led Cardiff Metropolitan University's charge with team manager James Thie close behind, offering support in the team stakes and helping them to fifth overall.
It was Sian Edwards (Swansea University) that led the welsh ladies home. Sian who has represented Great Britain at two World Cross Country Championships is enjoying a return to form which saw her finish in twentieth position on Saturday.
Ffion Price spearheaded Cardiff Metropolitan's attack on the team standings, helping them to ninth, one place ahead of their namesake, Cardiff University.
