Finance Administrator

We are looking for a highly efficient, proactive and people orientated administrator to join the operations team based at Welsh Athletics’ head office in Cardiff. Within this varied role you will be the first point of contact for lots of people looking for information via email and phone calls. You will get involved in the processing of day to day financial transactions and maintaining employment records through online systems.

Supporting both the Finance and HR managers this is a great opportunity to develop skills and expand your knowledge with full training, support and career development opportunities.

Coach Development Manager

£32k to £40k + Pension + 25 days plus 8 paid bank holidays

Athletics in Wales is built on a foundation of passionate and dedicated volunteers. We have identified the need for additional support for the development of the coaching community across Wales. The Coach Development Manager will play a key role in ensuring every Coach in Wales has access to relevant development opportunities, be it a coach beginning his or hers journey through the first steps of the formal education process, or a coach who will work with the best athletes in the Country.

The successful applicant will have a passion for coaching and developing people, and will work closely with the Education Administrator to ensure the education and development pathways are aligned. The Coach Development Manager will play a key role in supporting the Performance and Development leads in ensuring that the sports coaches have the right skills and knowledge as we start the journey to Birmingham 2022.

National Talent-Development Coordinator (Endurance)

£25k to £28k + Pension + 25 days plus 8 paid bank holidays

Full Time – Cardiff,  NIAC Cyncoed or home based

Continuing on from our success at the recent Commonwealth Games we are looking for a person with a thorough understanding of the sport of Athletics to take responsibility for driving our national and regional talent development programmes across Wales.

Welsh Athletics prioritises investment into coaching communities, the majority of whom are volunteers. Having the skills and understanding to support these valued volunteers is fundamental for success in this role.

Endurance Officials Secretary

Welsh Athletics is seeking a volunteer to be an active member of the Endurance Officials Committee providing secretarial support and prepare minutes of committee meetings.

The Endurance Officials Committee meets five times a year. As well as secretarial duties, the committee secretary will act as the intermediate body between Welsh Athletics and the committee.

West Wales Regional License Coordinator 

Voluntary with all reasonable expenses reimbursed 

Welsh Athletics is seeking a volunteer Regional License Coordinator to review license applications in West Wales. The successful candidate will also be an active member of the Endurance Officials Committee driving forward discussion and actions.

The Regional License Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing all license application forms for road and multi-terrain races within their region

Secretary to General Council

Voluntary with all reasonable expenses reimbursed

Welsh Athletics is seeking a volunteer to be an active member of General Council and, in conjunction with the Chair, provide secretarial support and prepare minutes of Council meetings.

The Council meets five times a year and also meets annually with the Board of Welsh Athletics. Meetings are currently held in Cardiff with some members joining remotely via video conference.
